Join us for a very special Grain School in the Verde Valley near Sedona, Arizona!

Presented by the Rocky Mountain Seed Alliance in partnership with ECO Learning Center.

With a focus on ancient and heritage grains, you will learn expert techniques and hands-on skills to grow, harvest, mill, market, and bake with locally adapted grains. Nutritional values of ancient grains will be presented, along with the ecological benefits of adding grains to your garden or farm portfolio. Grain collaborations will also be explored and encouraged. Don't miss this unique opportunity to dive deeply into the exciting, delicious world of heritage grains!

Gary Paul Nabhan is an agricultural ecologist, ethnobotanist, Ecumenical Franciscan brother, and author whose work has focused primarily on the interaction of biodiversity and cultural diversity of the arid binational Southwest. He is considered a pioneer in the local food movement and the heirloom seed saving movement.

Cancellation policy: If canceled before April 5th, a $75 registration fee will apply. If canceled between April 5th and April 10th, a 50% refund will be available. If a scholarship was received, then RMSA has the right to retain the entire registration fee.

Special Accomodations Deal!

We have 3 tiny houses available for rent to accommodate two people at $50 each, per night ($10/night additional to add a third person). Please contact Sue (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) immediately if you are interested in staying in a tiny house as they will go fast. She will work with you to pair you with another Grain School participant.

Tiny houses will be available on Thursday, April 11 through Saturday, April 13. If you would like to stay beyond this time, please make further arrangements with Sue. The deadline for securing a tiny house is March 29th.

Camping at the farm is available at $20/night (restrooms and shower on site). RV parking is available as well for $40/night for any trailer up to 40' long (not including the vehicle).
