A Message from our Deputy Director
I love Radio Paradise, the online radio station. With a perfect mix of eclectic, multi-cultural, and rock music, it has become the soundtrack of our lives. The station is 100% listener supported. After listening for a few years, Bill and I came to the realization that only support from listeners like us allowed the station to exist. A while ago we signed up as monthly contributors.
PBS has also become a centerpiece of our days. I can't imagine not being able to watch the News Hour, all the great travel shows, American Experience (did you see Rachel Carson on Tuesday night?– wow) and so much more. With PBS on the chopping block again with the current congress, we came to the same realization. Sustaining members are more important than ever. We signed up as monthly contributors.
You know where this is going... Since the Alliance launched three years ago, membership has been free in order to grow our network and programs. Now we are inviting you to step up financially and support your (our) organization. And if you think you need lots of money to do this, think again. Bill and I donate to a few organizations including RMSA with a monthly average of $10. Take two minutes to dedicate a few dollars a month to this
We hope you have benefited knowing the Rocky Mountain Seed Alliance exists. Perhaps you have attended one or more of our programs (Seed School, Seed School Online, Teacher Training, and Grain School). Consider the time, energy and effort it takes to grow a new non-profit in the 21st Century. If you take advantage of the cutting edge information on our Facebook page, realize how all this happens.
Become a RMSA Supporting Member by clicking here. If you really can't commit to a recurring monthly payment starting at just $5, the easiest option for us all, we have lump sum annual options starting at $25. (If you do this already, thank you!)
In return, you’ll get up to 20% discounts on our courses and events. But more than this, you’ll be ensuring that the bioregional seed movement remains grassroots and continues to prosper and spread, from your backyard garden to the global village.
RMSA's work is essential to the local [bioregional] food movement which is founded on knowledge and application of local seed traditions. RMSA has re-ignited these traditions with its outreach, networking, and education.
I am honored to support these efforts."

As we’ve always said, this is your Alliance. Thank you for your commitment to local seeds!

Get on the Grain Train
Grain School is on track to change the way we think about grains. We just wrapped up our second program with the University of Colorado Colorado Springs!
Special thanks to RMSA board member and UCCS professor, Dr. Nanna Meyer, and her dream team for putting together a stellar event. If you would like to see what you missed, click here to view the syllabus.
With 60 participants from near and far, the UCCS Farmhouse was bursting at the seams with threshing, milling, cooking and sharing the vision of a localized heritage grain economy. Keynote for next year’s event is Glenn Roberts from Anson Mills, the gent who was the inspiration for the program to begin with. Stay tuned here for updates.
If you enjoy growing any kind of grains and would like to become part of RMSA’s Heritage Grain Trials program, please click here. We’ll send you several varieties of ancient grains, as well as a Grain Trials manual and give you technical support. Grow the regional grain movement with us!
